- From a colleague “Theresa Moran is an amazing Art Teacher who goes above and beyond with and for her students. She brings out their creativity and teaches them skills that will help them throughout their academic years as well as for the rest of their lives. She is always willing to help her colleagues with anything art related — or actually with anything! She takes great care and a lot of time to display all of the students’ artwork, giving each class a chance to have their artwork on display in our school. We appreciate you, Theresa!”
Parent Partnership: I want to thank the MSHS parents who have quickly adapted to the morning drop off routine. We are working with an organization called Safe Routes to School which is coming to help assess our arrival and dismissal procedures and the traffic flow at the school. We will keep you posted on the potential changes to the procedure and parking situation. There will be no changes to the current process this year.
Summer Programming with the YMCA: There is going to be a change this summer as GPS will not be offering the Adventure Camp. I know how important this long standing tradition is for the community and although we can’t replicate it, we are partnering with the YMCA to offer access to their day camps and transportation to and from Georgetown. Here is the link to the information. We will work with the YMCA to offer bussing from a location in Georgetown to and from the camp.
