Spotlight on Excellence
A long standing Georgetown tradition is having the graduating seniors get “clapped out”. They adorn their cap and gowns and parade through the Penn Brook halls with our elementary students clapping and cheering them on. I witnessed lots of tears! Click on the picture below!
CONGRATULATIONS to the class of 2025! I wish you all the best in the next chapter. I believe you are going to do great things!
Shout Out:
- A huge Shout Out to the entire Georgetown Public Schools education staff. Thank you for being on the journey this year with our new curriculum, common planning time focus, strengthening our sense of belonging and embracing new technology! It is evident that each of you conquered your fears, trepidations and persevered. Thank you for all you do and enjoy your well deserved summer break!
Bus Registration: I want to remind everyone that if your child(ren) will be riding the bus you must register them. This applies to students who are free and those who will pay the fee. You can find the information on our website. Please reach out to Tracy Pigeon via email if you have questions.
Summer Programming with the YMCA: There is going to be a change this summer as GPS will not be offering the Adventure Camp. I know how important this long standing tradition is for the community and although we can’t replicate it, we are partnering with the YMCA to offer access to their day camps and provide transportation to and from Georgetown. Here is the link to the information. We will work with the YMCA to offer bussing from a location in Georgetown to and from the camp.
